Samsung Display Is Making The Screen For The Huawei P30 Pro

Huawei unveiled its brand new flagship phone — the P30 and the P30 Pro — at a press conference today in Paris. Huawei says the reason why the P30 is so much better is down to the new 40Mp SuperSpectrum sensor. Huawei's newest smartphones feature big screens, small selfie-camera notches, and slim bezels. As such, the ISO, which denotes light intensity, is up from 102400 in the P20 Pro - which already matched certain DSLR cameras - to 409600 in the P30 Pro, making it the highest-ever light intensity on a smartphone.

It must also have all locking features like Find My iPhone (on iOS devices) disabled. The P30 Pro would have one more camera than the P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro, if true, and the P30 would match the Mate 20 on camera count. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro run on Android Pie with Huawei's EMUI 9.1 software over the top, while Samsung's Galaxy S10 and S10+ run on Android Pie with Samsung's One UI over the top.

In high-contrast scenes, the Huawei P30 Pro offers wide dynamic range. The P30 Pro finally displays third-party notifications on the always-on display, which has been a peeve of mine on the camera Mate. The tests found the P30 can reproduce superior detail and more accurate bokeh effects than either the Mate 20 Pro or the Xiaomi Mi 9.

The master painter is celebrated for his use of light, and that is a driving force behind this camera-focused smartphone, where a Leica quad camera, an innovative alternative to the RGGB Bayer filter and some astounding zoom capabilities are among the headlines.

The Kirin 980 SoC powers both smartphones. The camera apps even allows for a maximum 50x zoom factor but it's probably best to limit yourself to 10x for usable results. Rounding out the P30 Pro's internals are 8GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage expandable with Huawei's proprietary NanoMemory storage cards (up from 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on the P20).

I've dwelt a lot on the P30 Pro's camera features because that is what separates this phone from the rest of the pack. Depth estimation failures occur with the Huawei P30 Pro's bokeh simulation mode. BTW, I was too almost fooled by all these misleading hype until look into it recently, but I like to say that Huawei's marketing department indeed did great job to promote this thing as always even does not work for every one who Huawei targeted to.
