Huawei's recent flagships have focused a lot of their energy on one key attribute - the camera. Pitted against its chief rival, the Pixel still eked out more detail in well-lit shots while the Huawei P30 Pro edged ahead with the low-light and zoom shots. Even if the P30 Pro were a garbage smartphone - which it absolutely isn't - it would still be worth considering based on the strength of its camera.

It seems to me the Huawei P30 Pro's Kirin 980 chipset really hates encoding in 4k or Huawei's software camera optimization team just can't get it right. Like last year's P20 Pro, the wordmarks on the phone are oriented horizontally, to mimic the look of a camera.

If you want the best camera, the best battery life, or just a really good all-around smartphone, the answer is a strong yes. That all sounds mightily impressive and there's no doubt that the P30 Pro represents the very pinnacle of flagship achievements. Besides being the new champion for low-light photography, the Huawei P30 Pro also offers greater optical zoom, reverse wireless charging and an all-screen design with a minuscule notch.

The Huawei P30 Pro is not cheap, though. The P30 Pro could easily be considered a two-day phone for sure. Huawei has really embraced the two-tone color stylings and I am lucky enough to have the Breathing Crystal design — which is arguably my favorite smartphone color in recent years.

So, believe me when I say to you - the camera system of mofi the P30 Pro does not disappoint, as well as being the most impressive camera system I have used on a high-end flagship. Huawei's hybrid 10x zoom, which it also claims is completely lossless, uses AI to detect what is in the photo and enhance and sharpen any details that may have been lost in the digital zoom.

Huawei P30 Pro packs incredible camera capabilities that not only challenge rivals but the human eyes as well. Huawei has gone with subtle retouches for the P30 Pro, with the overall usability of the phone in mind. When you try taking photos in low light, the iPhone XS presents a blank black canvas, and the Galaxy S10 gives only outlines while the P30 Pro makes things look like daytime.

The P30 Pro has the high quality feel that we've come to expect from Huawei's P-series smartphones and the weatherproofing gives you the reassurance that you can use it in rain. For intermediate zoom factors, the P30 Pro combines image data from both cameras.
